What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 454

Blimey. I left for a weekend Crop (it was lovely, thank you) and appear to have been totally in mid flow. And so, when I got home, I just dumped everything on top of and around the desk. You aren't surprised!

I HAD been making some cards to send with the new badges. That accounts for the small white pieces of card. Each has two images on which I painted briefly with the radiant pearls, in the basket at left. There's a snowflake hanging on the door handle. It was on my desk for mending purposes after Christmas. It's just about ready to be put away! My usual ATG and other tapes are missing because they're in the bag on my stool, waiting to be unpacked and put away. It's definitely a job for this morning. Note the complete lack of anything vaguely valentine related...it's too late now. Ho Hum.
Show me up then - let's see your desks, mid flow or not, it's all good!

I received my badge in time to wear on Sunday at Stamperama, but it was so cold in the sports hall (unusually) that my scar stayed on all day so probably wasn't visible... but I didn't come across any other deskers. Thank you, and for the card that came with it - that will be some task you have set yourself! Helen xx

Morning Julia. So reassuring to see that someone so young and energetic doesn't immediately put everything back in its rightful places!! :-)
Take care. God bless.

Morning all,
Thank you for the badge and card Julia, it’s even nicer in the flesh. I’m going to show it off next week, it’ll look grand against the piece I’m working on. For the minute it is pinned next to my other one on a bobbin of wool on a shelf in my workroom
The welder has gone off to Essex complete with a bag full of valentines goodies, while I remain here a proper Billy no mates and not a valentines card or chocolate in sight

Hi Julia, I don't fuss about Valentine's Day myself although my son did ask me to make him a card. I will definitely wear my badge with pride when I go to Port Sunlight in May! Have a good week. Sarah #14

Hi Julia, got the badge and card, love them. You certainly know how to make work for yourself but we much appreciate it. However I hope it's not our fault that Mr Dunnit doesn't get a V card! Have a lovely woyww V day and happy crafting when you manage to get the desk clear x20x

Morning Julia, I am so glad I am not the only one who doesn't put stuff away immediately, especially after a nice event like a crop. You need time to unpack slowly and remember the fun and laughter, and the nice comments over the project you created during the day, what suggestions friends made about it, it al need processing slowly.
Enjoy doing it

Hi Julia. Glad you enjoyed the crop. I would have done exactly the same on return if it had been me. I did surprisingly manage some cards and treats for Valentine's Day - enjoyed making them. Have a great week. Anne x #21

Hi Julia, puzzled by the yellow thing at the front of your desk, lol. Smiled at the snowflake, till I realised it had been mended. We always find one rogue ornament every year that got missed while packing it all away. Love & hugs, Shaz XxX#15 xxXX

Love the bag on your chair - is that a Union Jack I can see?
Wow, so you are sending badges out with cards - what a task you have set yourself - you are so thoughtful.
Glad someone else did not make a Valentine card - I had one from last year - commercial - that I forgot about.
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

It usually takes me a good long while to unpack after a retreat as well but that is how the flow of a busy life goes :) I did a fair good few of Valentine's inspired crafts this year, more so than the other years, but no cards have been sent. Hope you'll have a great day! xox Cheetarah #24

Still crippled with bad back but managed Valentines and birthday card (today also) Nice to see you have mended a snowflake decoration too. Not sure mine will ever make it back to the loft this year!! Well not with my current back situation! Glad you enjoyed the crop - that's all that matters isn't it? BJ#28

Happy WOYWW. Me and hubby don't really do Valentines, what with it being the day after my birthday (so we normally go out then) and the busiest time of year on the farm. I wasn't going to make him a card, but then wanted to use a cute design that I got from DesignBundles, so I made him an ATC. Just a quick digital design. He can prop it up against his office computer - and eventually it will be lost under mounds of papers! I think I might have started an annual trend - saves on card and energy. Ali x #30 ps I must finally meet you this year - the leather shop in Bath Market might be a good place!

Oh, a weekend crop! How lovely for you, Julia. I won't forget the crop in Wales and would so love to do it all again. I see teetering piles on the left of your desk, not to mention the one on your stool but it's Valentine's Day - not a day to be unpacking and tidying stuff away. Happy WOYWW and have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #31

PS: How can I be earlier posting this week and still be way down in the thirties - it's a mystery!!!

I'm glad you had a great time. Just like any trip, it takes me at least a week to put stuff away; as if that can make the trip last longer! Have a great week.

Hey girlfriend! I love that you are keeping it real with the wide shot of your desk. I cropped the shot of my desk for clutter was all around the coloring book. I peeked back at your last post and it looks like you have been traveling - Bath! Lovely photos. I could stare at the architecture and cobblestone roads forever. They are simply a treat for the eyes! Thanks for the visit. I am excited to peek at our fellow crafters' desk. Have a lovely day!

Sounds like you had a fab time at the crop! And I don't think any less of you for dumping all your stuff - it usually takes me weeks to unpack from things like that! Have a great week, Lindart #36

I think it's more fun to pack for a crop than to unpack. And don't worry about the hearts... my hubby forgot. After being sick for 5 days and finally returning to work yesterday his rememberer is a bit foggy. Hope you have a great day and thanks for popping by!

Glad you had a good crop, Julia, and I'm sure we all dump stuff on the desk on our return from such things! Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment - so glad you liked my Distress Oxide background on my hubby's card (he loves it, by the way) - on the Youtube tutorial she just left it white but I thought that was a bit boring. I love my Distress Oxides and I love a bit of randomness too! I'm really looking forward to the show tomorrow.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Julia, I didn't get time this morning, so visiting before we sit down to eat! You are certainly a busy lady, with the crop and making cards go go with the badges! I confess I made Mr M's Valentine card last year but misplaced it! Thanks for visiting earlier. I will be trying out the 3D folder soon. I only bought one for now, but i was tempted to buy a couple more. Have a lovely week Heather #13

Great looking desk! Glad to hear you had a great time at the crop. I have been thinking about organizing another one but trying to wait till it is a little warmer and I have less going on in my life...don't think that will happen too soon though! Have a great week. Hope I can keep up now that the back is healing! BTW...did you see the new spring Origami? too cute! Vickie #39
