What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 435

Post WOYWW Crop blues have hit my desk. I've achieved that 'caught in time' look that photos are meant to reveal, for sure. There lies stuff that I used in preparation for going to Llandudno and didn't put away. And now there lies stuff as a result of unpacking after being to Llandudno.

The pizza box and white carrier are new to me stuff that I plan to use for a card making marathon day I'm involved with. We're using stash left to us by a dear friend and crafter called Mary. So, to honour her stash and her memory, we're calling our day of card making, 'A Marython'. Geddit.
You can see my new(ish) tractor seat stool too. Happy to report it's incredibly comfortable. But in these early mornings, a nightdress isn't enough to prevent the seat feeling very cold on first use! The Crop was amazing. Proper commentary and photos are available on better blogs than this; I can't tag them yet, several were waiting till today to talk about their experience. Ooh err!
Please link your WOYWW post here, visit and be visited. That's the ticket. Or as we Welsh speakers say - 'there's lovely'.

yikes, no you need a dressing gown to warm your... seat!! Great desk, and I know what you mean about the post crop blues - and I wasn't even there!! I have enjoyed the pics I've seen so far and look forward to more today!

Bore da Julia! Yes, haven't done a thing myself, either. No - it wasn't exhaustion after all the mayhem and fun. The church think we are all wonderful to have left them CAKE!!!
Take care, girl. Lovely to see everyone. God bless.

I see some brightness out that window..please send it our way. 2 days without the sun and I go bonkers, now it's been 3 going on 4 ..cold 40 in AM and 80 humid high by 4pm just crazy. Your return from the crop blues, is like whenever I have to unpack from anything, even groceries. Putting away is not my favorite thing to do. Really enjoying the fun photos of your gathering. Everyone looks so happy ! Have a fun week.

Hi Julia, the crop sounds like it went well, I'm really looking forward to seeing the photos. The idea of a Marython is lovely and a sweet tribute to your friend. Hope you find a fleecy bottom warmer before the weather turns really cold, or you'll find yourself welded to it one morning!

Well, I'm sorry but that stool looks most uncomfortable, no back rest or is that hiding? I am still enjoying seeing my stash on my desk so no tidying for me.
Love the idea of the Marython ..... have a beautiful time.
Enjoy the week

Hi Julia, thanks again for the amazing welcome at our first crop with WOYWW; we're still talking about it. Hope the Marython goes well; what a fabulous thing to do in her memory. Love the seat but flannel or fleece PJs would probably suit it better lol. Sarah #20

Hi Julia, I get the impression that more than a few of us are suffering from post Crop blues. Haven't done a thing since I got back. Wish I was still there - another couple of hours/days and I might have accomplished something with all the stuff I toted down. Not to worry, it was a great day and I so enjoyed meeting up with you all. Love the idea of the tractor stool but I suspect I would need a bit of padding for my temperature sensitive butt. The Marython sounds like a very worthy tribute to Mary. Have a wonderful week and regards to Mr D too. Hugs, Elizabeth x #22

I love the idea of a Marython! I think I'll put that request in my bequeath. Very cool way to honor a fellow crafter. The tractor seat does sound comfy. Maybe a bit of fur fabric in place first thing in the morning. ;-) Look forward to visiting blogs and hearing all about the crop. Creative Blessings! Kelly #24

Oh I know what you mean with having the blues after a lovely meeting of friensa. This past weekend there were a few meetings of the fountain pen club in NL and a convention/show too. Got to hang out with my fellow geeks and forgot to take any pictures! That is the sign of a fun and hectic weekend! So no desk picture from me, but a pop in to say hi and see how the crop went. Glad to hear it was a great time. Also I do hope you will get a seat warmer for that chair, as I imagine winter mornings can be very cold. Have a wonderful week! xo Cheetarah

G'morning Julia, I had to stop and admire the tractor seat, and since my memory is always an iffy thing my first thought is oh, she must never show so far from the table usually, and then I read the story and was giggling over the temperature of it... :)~Stacy #28

Looks like you had an awesome time at the crop! Your MARYthon sounds like a great way to pay tribute to a friend. I used to have one of those trays like your pink one, some how it found its way into the black hole of my stamping room. . .Have a great day! Lindart #32

Yeah, it's tough coming down from a crafting High eh? Such a lovely thing the Marython...I suspect bittersweet blues will be felt by all during that lovely memorial service so to speak, been super busy but wanted to see the Llandudno news and so felt somewhat obliged to share as well as snoop. Sorry I am late leaving a comment, was dragged out to get some fresh air. Walked about 400yd and was exhausted for the rest of the day.
Hope you get some crafting enthusiasm soon, I came back excited and did some, hence my post.
Tractor seats are very comfy, and can be VERY cold, especially on a tractor or narrow boat, early in the morning. Need to get Mr Dunnit to buy you a nice fleece dressing gown to protect your nether regions from the cold.
Have a great day

How do you cope with/manage the "missing you's"? It really is not long enough and cannot imagine what it would be like with lots more people there. Now I want to go nationwide and then international. Wouldn't it be fun if we could just close our eyes and be transported to different places and meet up with other WOYWWers.
Thank you Julia for bringing about this wonderful phenomenon that we call WOYWW eight years ago. Wish I had been in from day one but I was an early bird and try my best not to miss a single week. It would be like having my right arm cut off - shudder at the thought!
Thanks and Hugs, Neet 9 xx
(can't think of the word I want for "missing you all" and not sure phenomenon really works but hey ho)
