What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 434

I am still playing with the snowman die. I've finished now though, I think this is the last of the card stock that I can use. That, and the stamps at left suggest I'm still making Christmas cards. I am, but I'm not, really. I have a few to do for workshops and a card-making event and that will be it. But now I'm seeing the end of the requirement, I'm really feeling the vibe! The DVD case at left houses my Christmas dies. I like to keep them separate whilst I'm working with them, but eventually they will be returned to the bulging file proper place. There's a pile of tidy trays at right, all clean at once! I put them in the dishwasher after a workshop. Thoroughly clean and also, wonderfully static free. For a minute. Those glasses are a cheap pair of readers. 2.5 magnification, apparently. Well, they're not as good as my new prescription glasses, so colour me horrified! No wonder I can't do colouring, cutting or colour matching at night!
Really hugely looking forward to seeing some Deskers at the Crop this weekend. Meanwhile, show and tell about your desks, please!

Morning Julia. Interesting you say that about the glasses - I'll remember that when I go have my eyes tested on Friday... See you at the weekend.

Take care. Drive carefully. God bless.

I completely lost the plot last week before my son went to uni but now he's gone things are surprisingly hunky dory. Only had 2 days of my new empty nester status but been quite busy with stuff. Crafting is still on the back burner, one day.... Love your snowman, oh and I forgot to comment on your trees the other day, they are FAB too. BJ#3

I use those cheap reading glasses too but lately I've been feeling the need to get some proper prescription ones - if only they weren't so expensive. I always feel ripped off at the opticians! Have fun at the crop - one of these I might make it too now that I actually have a train station near me!

Without my ready specs I'd never do any cleaning as I don't see the muck without them. Funny how most of the time they are on top of my head and not on my face.

Hi Julia, You have been busy.

Be careful buying cheap ready readers, as they reckon a lot the lenses aren't made right, so the magnification isn't as stated and they can actually be bad for your eyes. I got mine from the Optician. Think they were around £10, but that was a few years ago.

Happy WOYWW.

Well done gal for nearly finishing the Christmas Cards. I haven't started yet but soon .... very soon!
I keep a pair of those glasses in my handbag - useful for reading labels in shops!!
See you at the weekend, all being well and we remember to come!!

Hi Julia,

I love the snowman die, it's a cutie. I'd never thought about the dishwasher for that, great there's no static either! I was suffering a static problem recently but I can't remember what it was with now, but it was driving me crackers!

Hi Julia, your snowman die is really cute - love his hat. I suspect you're way ahead of me with your Christmas cards ... and to think I did make one a week one year! I've been peering at the wood mounted stamps to the left of your pic and the penguin looks delightful. I can see that those new glasses are going to make quite a difference though colour matching at night might still be a problem - everything looks very different in broad daylight. Looking forward to see you at the weekend too. Hugs, Elizabeth x #21

Hi Julia, laughing about getting me a table to lie on! GP is sending me for an ultrasound on my shoulder, & some physio, plus giving me some more pain killers I can take with what I already have. Had to explain I needed something, I actually cant remember what not being in pain feels like.So we'll see what happens. Just a good nights sleep would be a bonus.Looking forward to Friday, just need to get organised now. Love & huge hugs, Shaz XxX

Good morning, Miss Julia!
I look forward to hearing all about the crop. We really need to organize one for the US side of this group ;-) Maybe on the same day. Hmmmm. What an undertaking. Anyone else want to help?

I've missed the group. Happy to be back. Creative Blessings Kelly #24

Happy WOYWW. Christmas crafting seems to have been paused in my craft room - well, in fact, I don't seem to be doing much crafting at all. My Spanish lessons and then watching YouTube videos seems to be my activity of choice right now. Ali x #27

Hey Julia, :) Ooh my eye dr. retired and moved out of state so, I finally got on the waiting list to see the replacement ( later next month) I have never felt like I could see colors as well at night ( even before glasses) so, I am impressed that you try. for me coloring or color matching is very much a daylight thing. even with all those lamps. :)

Very organised desk Julia.
You sound as if you are getting on well with the Chrimbo makes (I certainly need to get a move on - where is the time going?).
Have a great week.

I've just visited the first 10 blogs and commented as Sarah #30 as that is what came up when I linked up. Now I find I'm #31; unfortunately the new #30 is also a Sarah. I did press refresh to double check my number when I first linked up so I'm not sure why it's now changed. Sorry folks; hope no one is too confused! Sarah #31

I am so envious of the crop that many on-line participants are attending. i wonder if anyone finishes a project with such great companions and constant laughter. Turning to green her, not the Tim Holt pee shade but more of the Phthalo Green, just love that p word.
Have a wonderful super time.
