What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 431

Honestly, I don't know where to start with the clearing up. I've tried to do too many things simultaneously and it just doesn't suit me!

Sorry about the light, it's definitely starting to appear a little autumnal, and I don't like it! So, anything of interest? Hmmm, just some disorder I think. The pile of envelopes at the far left should be in the basket at near right. That would free up some space. In front of the deckchair, you can see a pile that's done the slide...there are card blanks and a packet of silver mirror and mat card and some baby wipes and well, I'm glad you can't see it from the side, to be honest! There's a packet of Sugru in the pink tidy tray, it's a bit of a mending staple around here.  In the centre is an acrylic box that contains my Christmas dies and that's there because I really am about to clear up. So, show off your much better organised space will you, I need to be reminded!
Put WOYWW in your post title and link here. Please. Thank you.

Morning Julia. Seems we are all confessing the same thing - mess... Mine, too. Looks like an industry has been going on there though. Well done. Oooo - see you soon!

Heehee, a Who Has the Messiest Desk contest - can I join in?? There's a reason I cheated and only focused on my Moonboard today - didn't want anyone to see the chaos that surrounds it!
Happy WOYWW, dear Julia x

I've many areas to organize, so you'll feel good seeing my messes. You are doing so well with those early Christmas cards. Hope you remember where you stashed them come time to mail them. Fall is definitely here, wore jeans and a sweat shirt most of the day. Have fun..

No can do about a better organized space! I have evacuated from my craft room to the garden. That's where I do my sewing now. No space to walk in my room. I really have to start some serious decluttering! I need a magic wand! Happy WOYWW! patsy

Hi Julia great going on starting your Christmas cards early like the ones you posted below they look pretty. I'm just sorting through my stash and getting what I don't use out of my way. But I can't work in a messy area I just get to distracted by everything around me lol Hugs Nikki

There's lots going on at your desk today but that just goes to show what a busy life you lead.....you can't be productive and tidy. I know I can't especially this week...it's mayhem here lol.

Hi Julia. Mine looked like that on Monday!!! As I am getting ready - well trying to - for Saturday's Crafternoon Tea I've moved a lot. Now my spare bedroom looks a tip!!!! Have a good week. Anne x @17 I think :-)

I've just shut the door on my mess and moved down stairs. It seemed the best thing as I'm not in the mood for tidying when there's things to create. It just shows you are creative, Julia....well that's what I say when folk moan about me anyway!!
Have a good week

It sure feels like Autumn here too and I LOVE IT! I cannot stand that warm weather (something to do with 'midle-age' and 'flashes'...) and my atelier is more inviting when it's a bit colder. I'm sorry I cannot show you my 'mess' ('cause you know, it never is 'messy' and no matter how much I do try to get it that way, you guys always find it 'neat') Good luck decluttering and re-organizing Julia, but whatever you do: enjoy your day! Hi Julia, like Helen, I probably shouldn't say it, but I reckon my mess is bigger too. That's what sorting and tidying gets you- an almighty mess in the process. Still, onward and upward, I'm bound to see daylight soon, if not desktop. Love & Hugs, Shaz ~5 XxX

Love your productive mess. How's that for a new description of our desks?
I am wondering what all the envelopes are out for, does that mean there is a mammoth card making fest about to start?
Autumn is my favourite season. Not so the dark nights, but the colours of autumn really appeal to me and I love to wrap up (hides the bulges), put on my wooly hat (hides the hair mess) and walk through the leaves, rustling them as I go. Oh heck, I am waxing lyrical now, better shut up and get on with looking at other desks.
Hugs, & Thanks for visiting me so early - Neet 9 xx

I don't think your desk is that disorganised! We all have times like that anyway, a tidy craft desk is a sign nowts happenin! Autumn is creeping in, it's cooler in the mornings for sure - but I like it! Summer in Scotland is a blood relative of winter, so I'm happy it's out the road. Thanks for the photo! Lyns xx #24

Looks like you are cracking on with the mass production of cards. My kitchen table was cleared to eat lunch, but that just means piles of mess elsewhere!

Hi Julia, this is second time of trying to leave a comment for you today. My internet connection keeps going down and I have no idea why unless it is the horrible weather we're enduring today. You're desk doesn't look so bad to me - you have a reason for everything there. I'm not good at trying to do too many things simultaneously any more. It's a sure way of getting in a muddle, as can be seen from the mess this room is right now. So good luck with the clear up and have a wonderful week ahead. Hugs, Elizabeth x #25

Good morning, Julia! Here, it is still morning! I find that die by the jar interesting. And would love that Christmas die right in front in your basket.
Oh, so fun to see what is on everyone's desks! Happy WOYWW! #30

That is a full desk!! This is what I do when I feel overwhelmed and have to clean a space. Start in the lower left corner - if it can be put away, do that. If your not sure where it goes at the moment, move it to the far right. Keep going in a counter-clockwise direction. When you reach the right hand corner (opposite of where you started) you will have a pile of things to either put away, or decide where their new home will be. Very organized and logical way to clean up! Have fun! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #31

Well hello my friend. I purposely cropped the right side of my desk today for fear that I would scare everyone away. I am quite a compulsive piler. It's my denial for tidying up. I make piles all over the place and forget what's in them so not very helpful in the end.
I can't wait to see your Christmas dies. Dies never get old for me and I am glad they still make them. For so many craft shops seem to be closing.
I hope you have a fun day and stop by if you find free time!

Hi Julia,
I think I have about 6 more square inches to play in than you do in my mess haha. usually, by the time my desk reaches that point I absolutely have to clean up every single thing to be able to continue. ~Stacy #33

I like autumn, the cooler temperatures. But we're still in the upper 90s*F, way too warm. I have made some Christmas cards but working now on my Fall/Thanksgiving cards for an Oct. class. If I don't get moving I can't advertise. Thanks for stopping by! (I keep forgetting to put WOYWW in my post title but I do get the word Desk in there... LOL!)
