What's On Your Workdesk 395 ..the 'really...is it Wednesday?' one..

I can hardly believe it myself gentle Desker. Wednesday already, and Christmas has been and gone. The magic of the Season is still swirling around though, so please enjoy some more as the new year approaches.

The thing about my desk is...well, that canvas I was working on. I still am. Ive done other things as you can see. I covered some spoons in chocolate, paired each one with a scoop of marshmallow and a sachet of hot chocolate and put them in a little baggie as 'gifts' for the staff at my Mama's care home. The best bit about this sort of giving is the big bowl of 'lickers' left over. You can just see it before I lost control and helped myself. By the finger full. So much easier than a spoon, don't you find?
It's fair to say that the food and drink of the last 4 days has made me a solid. You don't have to confess to anything, but it would be nice to see what delights covered your desks or work surfaces over the hols. Link here with WOYWW in your title. Please don't feel obliged to feed me when I visit, Alka Seltzer would probably be more appropriate. This large piggy wishes you a happy new year!

I must have known you were about to post, I actually got out of bed!!
Happy New Year to you - those lollies (!) look fab, bet they'll go down a treat. am going to try and (make space to) do some crafting today... possibly! There are leftovers still to eat and enough chocolates and biscuits to fee all of the deskers several times over...

Hi Julia, I can see you've been making the most of the holiday. The lollies look lovely. I had to tidy my desk as we had visitors but just about got started with something new now they've gone. We can have a little rest now before the new Year though I am off to the Gym now, think I need it. Very frosty outside today so not looking forward to the drive though. Happy woyww, Angela x 6 P.S. not used to such a high Number, think everyone must still be in bed Lol!

Hi Julia. It sounds like we have all over indulged over the last week! But wasn't it good? I have to say I have enjoyed every minute of every day spent with some very special little people in my life......it was just what Christmas was about for me so I couldn't have asked for more. I love what you made and may have a go.....if only to luck the bowl 😄😄😄😄
Happy new year my friend. Here's to many more fun days linking up.
Hugs,

Hi Julia, The minute I saw the bowl I started to drool:) LOL

Unfortunately from last Friday I had the stomach bug. Saturday was my birthday, but all plans for that, Christmas Day and Boxing Day were cancelled.

I am so glad I am over it now, as my brother and sil are coming up today and will go home Friday morning.

Happy WOYWW

Although I'm not playing today (it's a good thing, because Scott and I worked on setting up my new computer tonight), I had to stop by and wish you a safe, warm, peaceful, and joyous New Year.

From one piggy to another it is then. I have indulged! Not imbibed but certainly indulged over Christmas.

That sounds like a lovely gift for the staff. And licking the bowl- I reckon every kid ever born did that, and we're all alive to tell the tale. Much eating and drinking here too- come January I'm starting on Jason Vales juicing diet. Can't believe how much weight I put on over the last year. Happy New Year to you all, Love & Hugs, Shaz xxx

Happy WOYWW and Happy New Year for Sunday. Chocolate ..... I didn't buy so much this year, but still have lots left. Far too much eaten - and off to visit family later, so I am sure that will continue. We never learn! Ali x #14

That large bowl looks very lickable indeed! We're all guilty of overindulging ourselves over Christmas - even though we know there will be a price to pay later! Happy New Year, Julia! xx

Thanks for your visit earlier, Julia, the black item which looks like a 1 is actually an OTT light, the speaker's at the other end of the table and not visible!

A change from the usual desk. Like the kitchen flare. I'm sure the people that received these covered spoons loved them. Know I would have.

Oh what a fab idea Julia - especially with the lickable leftovers! I just popped to my room to take a snap of my table so that I can join in WOYWW - just a bit late. Now there were 4 chocs but sadly only 3 left - I just couldn't resist! Here's hoping the New Year is a really good one for you all.xx Jo

What a great idea. I'd love to take some to mom's assisted living.
I haven't made sweets in years, but this year spent 2 days doing assorted cookies and salted delights. I think I did make a photo will have to check it out. Can't believe Christmas is over and we'll be in a new year in 4 days. Enjoy the Merriment.

Happy desk day to you! There sure is a lot of focus on food this time of year, isn't there? And isn't it great!??!!! I'm pro-food in case you didn't know. Hubby and I have been going to aqua aerobics every morning since we are off work. Those folks prance around in the water and talk about food for an hour. So much fun.

What a wonderful, delicious gift! And yes, fingers work best; I made a few batches of fudge; only way to get the bowl clean!

I wish you and your family a very Happy Healthy New Year!

Oh YAY, that is so kind of you Julia, I bet they all loved their treats. ( I did no baking of any kind this year we are remodeling and the livingroom is open to the kitchen so the dust chasing is keeping me busy) :)

I'm a bowl licker, too! I made Sea Salt Caramel Rice Krispie Treats and finished off the caramel I didn't use. I'll check my weight next week to see what the damage is. I hope you had a great Christmas and I hope you have a fabulous New Year!

Haven't been here for more than six months and just came back in time for this yumminess! Hmm looks terribly delicious! No matter what people complain, LOOSING weight over the holidays means there was missing some comfort in either way. Hehe.
I wish you a wonderful New Year
