Choices for T Tuesday.

So how do you choose your hairdresser?
If you use a hairdresser, you will know that they have to become very important to you. You have to form a relationship. This skilled person will really only ever know you back to front and still you expect him/her to interpret your right-way-around cravings for tousled but magnificent, don't -give-a-damn but very coiffed, colour me perfect hair. All that, and you don't really want to pay the cost of such skill, because we're just sitting about, right. And talking of sitting about...when I sit in front of my chosen hairdresser's full length mirror, I'm fairly hopeful that its not the real me, a back to front version at the very least. Indeed, I have accused her of having one of those fairground mirrors. You know the one that makes every mouthful you've ever eaten jiggle about on your face and chin and taunt you to sleep badly.

I don't choose by recommendation (what makes one person happy doesn't necessarily work for another). This particular hairdresser was chosen by my two well hidden and shameful characteristics - idleness and shallowness.
Idle? Yep. This lovely salon is all of four steps away from the Shopkeeper Gal's in Amesbury. So it's not exactly inconvenient to schedule an after workshop 'do'. And even if I do have to put myself out to make the journey specifically - I can always make it more worthwhile by popping into Kraft Crazy as well!
Shallowness? Yep...totally and utterly taken in by the decor and the presentation. The place is called Shampoo. Like its name, it is furnished simply - but beautifully. And just look at the lovely detail involved in the beverage ritual. I tell ya, the  sitting in front of a full length mirror with this sort of ornate frame experience is definitely tempered by the arrival of such pretty coffee. It's a big fat bonus that I find Logan to be a brilliant hairdresser, really!
Joining Elizabeth for T is for Tuesday, at last!

Love the teacup!! So glad my hairdresser left the very smart and intimidating salon and went self employed and mobile so comes to me - no more full length mirrors now! and I can sup tea out of my favourite mug, on the sofa, while the colour brews... bliss!

Now you tell me!! Yesterday my mobile hairdresser(my eldest sons ex!)let me down AGAIN! I should have had my hair cut last week-re-scheduled for Wednesday now! I could have had an 'experience' too!! Still, it wasn't her fault and she is a good hairdresser as well as being mother to my youngest grandson!!!! I love that we are still friends! Hugs,Chrisx

Love the décor and the way the coffee is served.
I haven't had a 'do' for quite some time as my hairdresser moved away and it takes me so long to get up the courage to try someone else.

I've always hated going to hairdressers. Mum loved it. She'd fall asleep under the dryer:)

When I worked I use to get a natural perm, which would last me almost 6 months. I could just about tolerate going twice a year:)

Now I have my hair cut really short every three or four months. I also have a dry cut, as I have to wash it at home before I got and they wet it at the salon. Bad back does not like being bent over the basin for them to wash it.

Not there long enough to be offered a nice cuppa.

Glad you have found such a lovely place.

Hope you have a good day. Sue

Seems like as good a reason as any! I tried a few at the same salon and finally settled on one that got what I was trying to communicate!

Great surroundings with thoughtful trimmings AND coffee service too...all important things to consider.
I must confess I hardly ever step foot into salons and when I do it feels like such a strange land to me LOL. I am overdue for a tune up ;-)
Wishing you a Happy T Day

Well what a fabulous place that seems to be. I wonder if Logan will have any new customers due to your sweet review of the coffee ritual, lol. I think I would try it out if I lived close by. Happy T Day to you Julie :o))

Wow! French press coffee at the hairdresser? My place has a drip coffee machine in the waiting area, which is not quite in the same class. I go to Fantastic Sam's and take whichever stylist I get lol. I just pay $18, though, so there is that ;)

Such a sweet way to be served at a salon. My salon isn't fancy...it almost has an upscale industrial feel. Unfortunately it has a upscale price as well. It's one of the reasons I only go a couple times a year. :)
Happy Tuesday!

How fortunate that you have such a wonderful place to get your hair done. What a perfect way to spoil yourself, too: french press coffee and ornate mirrors! The amenities must be wonderful, and being so close to your workshops makes it even better.

Thanks for sharing your hair and coffee experience with us for T this Tuesday.

I am so very lucky to have a hair dresser that I work with for years, our kids also grew up together. Does she give me the fancy drinks?......no......we usually go to a place for an adult beverage....LOL

Happy T-day

My DIL, Leah, has been cutting my hair now for years. I decided to quit fighting my thin, stick-straight, baby fine hair and just leave it hang down...blunt cut. So much easier. No fancy cups, though. I just bring my own red coffee mug--LOL! Happy T-Day! :)
