I don't do cute...

One of my gorgeous nieces had a birthday, and she's still young enough to need a card that involves pink or cute. Well, for me it's a challenge. You know by now that I don't really lean to any particular style, I'm not a natural mixed media or stencil and paste gal..sort of can't be bothered. I'm not not big into layering up paint colours and waxing to create resist, scratching to reveal other layers. I sort of can't be bothered. And I don't know when to stop. So I like to stick to well within the four lines of the box shaped comfort zone that is cutting and sticking for me. A stamp, a bit of colour and in this case, absolutely no imagination.....
I can't even remember the stamp manufacturer name...someone will.
I faithfully copied the colours off the picture on stamp set packaging! I do like the image very much, but now I've done it like this, I just know that any other time I use the stamp set, my card will look VERY like this. Again. And probably again. I wonder if Micro Niece would notice next year! My confidence gets very wobbly when presented with a 'cute' requirement. Although I always like other people's. What with not doing cute and not doing men's cards, I'm really narrowing my field!

I don't really do cute nor am I a colourer inner. I do have a handful of cutesy images (obtained from a swap) left over from when my nieces were small and pink was the thing. I'm quite sure it will be well received.

This is an adorable card Julia. Just charge the colors next year....grin!

I get stuck in the same narrow field, not a cutesy person, and only do masculine when forced to... I'd rather throw paint and spray inks and just get messy.....LOL

That being said, I do need to get a card made for my GD's 5th birthday THIS Saturday.....yea, it'll be a cute one and that is why I am still dragging my feet! Sure wish I had that card you just made........grin

I am so with you on the cute thing - and colouring in can be tedious too, I don't know how people like Zoe do it!! Maybe by next year, your niece will have changed from 'pink' to something else and you can use the same stamp and change your colour scheme!!
