Gettin' on...

I thought I had all day to finish stuff, get some Tuesday chores done and generally be sorted.  Turns out Mr D wants help this afternoon in his workshop.  And as you can imagine, this has caused some dashing about and real 'doing' to be done then.  Yep.  On top of which, I have to make time to 'get ready' to go out this evening...it doesn't just happen by magic at my age you know!  ESPECIALLY if he's going to give me dusty packing and protecting for transport type work to do!

A couple of people asked about this card -stamps are from a set by Stampin' Up! and I stamped it onto good gloss card stock, using second generation of the purple ink to get the offset image....and used a stamp positioning tool to do that, and get the word in the right place.  Occasionally, I think these things through!

I don't think there's much mystery about the bulldog card..except that fab tag is actually by a clothing company called Mantaray. I wonder how many of their workers see the potential in their product tags!  I must stress that I didn't buy the item of clothing because of the tag.  But it helped.
I'm off then.  Wonder if there's any chance of working outside lying on the grass under this amazing sunshine?

Love your cards especially the floral one, very striking. Good idea if you can find a way of working in the garden, it's gorgeous out there, she says sitting here on the settee in er pj's lol. Enjoy the chores. Tracy x

Hi Julia,

I absolutely love your card! The tag is great - hope the item of clothing is just as fun! Isn't it interesting what we find and where we find it!?!

Yes, lying on the ground looking up at the fabulous sky sounds wonderful. One of my favorite smells is fresh cut grass.

Hugs,
Kay

both tags are beautiful, I was wondering what the clothing was to have such a great tag.

I admit. If I found tags like that one with the bear, I would seek out all my clothes horse, non-artistic friends and BEG them to save their tags. Heck, I already do that with wine labels, altold tins, postage stamps, old calendars, you get the idea!!

Have a fun time tonight. I'm quite sure you earned it after the "dusty packing and protecting" job you are probably performing as I type.

I loved the offset card and like it when people do it. I've tried it and to when I do it looks like a drunken monkey made the card. Maybe a stamp positioner is the key. I have that bulldog stamp minus the British flag. Very cute and indeed, great tag!

great cards. I have a couple of those tags too, I always keep the tags and other bits from clothes, they can be really usefull for card making and scrap boooking.
Am I going to have to stay up later tonight? I have a glass of wine in hand so not sure If I can keep awake!
