Told you, I'm a follower...

I mentioned the Make It! Show last week.  I mentioned that I was going with Laura and Kelly and that we'd probably not be shopping together. Just so. Just as well.  When we met for lunch, they'd already bought more than I could take in.  Made me feel a bit obliged to buy something.   You know, in case I went home empty handed.
So I found five sheets of scrummy 12 x 12, a couple of  6 x 6 pads of paper, that stamp (as close to a wood mount as I could find, sob) and a cute die.  I had already told myself I wouldn't be needing any more paper for oh, the next millenium. But I am weak and easily led and they made me.  Kelly was pleased with me - she wants to borrow the new die at the Crop on Saturday, which makes it all worth while, huh! I was pleased with me too, actually..I feel that I bought enough to be very satisfied and little enough to get anxious and worry about how long it'll be before I can use it.  Except possibly the Mr & Mrs thingy...it's just the sort of thing that I never get around to.  Perhaps someone else who brought one could show me theirs, once done.  Then I can live up to my reputation, and follow your example.

That stamp is nice although I would buy it and never use it and I think I have that one paper pad somewhere. Might have to dig it out

Nine out of ten for self control. A nice little stash to make the visit worthwhile! Well done and I'm glad you had a good time,

I think you did really well and showed some restraint but made the trip worthwhile too!! ;) Love that Mr & Mrs... is it wood or chipboard? It would look cool if you took a map of the area you got married and covered it with it... or two maps... one of where you come from and one from where Mr Dunnit comes from and then the join could be in the middle of the & and covered with buttons and beads and lace and stuff...

I think you showed admirable restraint - just enough new stash and not too much. Those paper pads are an investment, as is the stamp and the die and the 12x12s are beautiful enough to satisfy the craving for strokable paper. Oh, and I think the Mr&Mrs shape is fab. Now, does that make you feel better :) Elizabeth x

When you get tired of that new stamp, mounted or NOT, you can send it to me (grin). I truly LOVE it. However, paper is something I've never cared about, since I can make or paint my own. The 12 X 12 is very pretty, but simply doesn't speak to me. I'm thrilled it speaks to you, though. I actually like what little I can see of the 6 X 6 paper. And of course, the Mr&Mrs makes me grin. It's the kind of thing I would buy, then stick it on one of my craft shelves, where it would promptly get broken!

Maybe we'll see a lot of Farnborough stash on WOYWW tomorrow.
Glad you enjoyed and were careful with what you spent, I'm glad I resisted as I wouldn't be able to resist

I think that Mr & Mrs sign would look beautiful glittered in a sparkly white, on top of a frame, holding a wedding photo.

What a brilliant idea Annette has come up with. I was just coming on to say I cannot believe how restrained you were and how much I like that stamp. Think I have that same die.
right off to photograph my room ready for Wednesday.
