Pip Pip!

Had a long weekend in Spain, (at the villa that I periodically advertise for rent). It sounds so luxurious doesn't it - a long weekend, and abroad too - get her! Well if it'll help, we had legal work to do concerning banks and solicitors, so the two working days were taken up by that; and I do want to give a big shout out for the inventor of office air conditioning. It was a blazing 42 on Thursday and not conducive to me concentrating on anything expect the thought of Miss Dunnit back at the villa by the pool. But we played over the weekend - had to stay off the beach until late Saturday afternoon - too hot for fat English women. So I suffered the hardship of sitting in the shade, eating ice cream and drinking Granizados. And so here we are, back to real life.. - I have a comments and questions to answer and I think it's fair to say that I won't get to last week's desks before tomorrow! I know it's hard to feel sorry for me, but spare a thought for me as I get back to work - VAT today and Health And Safety meetings tomorrow. That's quite a high price, huh!!

From where I'm sitting, Spain sounds like a long way away, with many wonderful local sights to see. What a way to spend your bank holiday (HMMM, working should not have been part of the package, but I understand how it was).

Boy, can I relate to 42C. I don't even have to convert that number. Welcome to MY summer. Sorry you had to experience it, because AC is the only way to keep from getting heat stroke.

Flippin Nora, that's hot - I would definitely be right beside you in the shade sipping something gently chinking with ice! Bet Miss Dunnit made the most of it...

You lucky thing. Although can't complain as just got back yesterday from 4 days in cornwall and had fab weather, spent quite a bit of it just lazing round on the beach, only downside was we went to a friends hol home and shared it with her, another 2 friends and their 6 children (all under 7!!!) my kids were great entertainment for them!!!
